How the Ways to Win Work

The Megaways mechanic defines the structure of each spin. Up to seven symbols may appear on each reel, including the Extra Reel that applies to reels 2 through 5. Combinations pay from left to right on adjacent reels, beginning with the leftmost position. Each combination is based on patterns of adjacent symbols—called "ways"—not fixed paylines. The actual number of ways varies each spin, but may reach 117,649 when all reels display the maximum symbol count. The total payout for a spin combines all way wins, each multiplied by the bet multiplier. Only the highest winning combination for each set of symbols is awarded per spin.

Betting and Payout Details

Special Reels and Symbols

In both the base game and Free Spins, Scatter symbols are never removed during Rolling Reels™.

Bison Stampede and Modifiers

At random at the start of base game spins, the Bison Stampede may be triggered, causing bison to run across the reels and activate the Stampede Bonus Wheel. The Wheel grants one of four modifiers:

Link&Win™ Feature

The Link&Win™ bonus activates when between 6 and 14 Link&Win™ symbols appear. These triggering symbols display a cash value and are held on the reels. The feature begins with three respins and reels 1 and 6 locked. Only reels 2 to 5 spin individually. On these reels, only Link&Win™ and Special symbols or blanks can land. Special symbols may only appear on the Extra Reel. Should a Key Special symbol land, it unlocks reel 1; if landed again, reel 6 is unlocked. The Collect Special symbol gathers all cash values on its reel, while the Multiplier Special symbol multiplies those values by x2, x3, x5, or x10. The MaxWays Special symbol increases the number of ways to the maximum for its reel. Landing another Link&Win™ symbol resets the respin count to three. The feature ends when either all respins are used or all positions are filled. Wild symbols cannot substitute for Link&Win™ symbols. The Link&Win™ feature occurs only in the base game.

Four, five, or six Scatters in a single spin award 10, 15, or 20 Free Spins, respectively.
During Free Spins, a persistent multiplier is active; each win increases the multiplier by 1x.
